Space-Themed Artwork
These scratchboard-style drawings explore outer space not just as a setting but as a metaphor—for isolation, discovery, and vastness. The contrast of light and dark, and the scratchy textures, create a sense of movement and distance—like reaching out into something infinite.
I was drawn to the idea of cosmic scale—how small we feel in contrast to planets, stars, and space itself.
The figures floating in the dark are meant to evoke feelings of curiosity, vulnerability, and solitude, which I find relevant when thinking about human-scale architecture in vast environments.
The limited colour palette focuses attention on form and texture, a technique I often use when developing architectural concepts.
This work helped me think about how space—both physical and emotional—can be represented. I carry that into architecture by considering how light, size, and materials can affect how a person feels within a structure.
